This one is a little further away than California Caverns - but has more flexible hours and can be combined with wineries or other fun in Angels Camp/Murphys.

Cavern right up the road from downtown. Amazing steel spiral staircase worth the visit alone.

Small wine town with one main street to stop, eat and refuel before heading up to Bear Valley. One hour away from BV. Mercer caverns is right inside town.
