Armando's Mexican Restaurant

Southwest Detroit is where all of the Mexican restaurants are. But Armando's is my favorite because they have this thing called the Mexican sandwich. I love it. I get the ground beef one. There are all these layers: rice, beans, ground beef. You can get melted cheese on top, and I order mine with onions and roasted jalapenos for a little crunch. They're open super late. On the weekends, they close at 4:00 in the morning, so the after-club crowd can go and fill their stomachs with grease and everything else—cheese, sour cream, chips, and all that good stuff.
