Looking for an activity outside of Coeur d'Alene? My recommendation is the Rathdrum Mountain Story Walk is great for families and small children. It’s an easy half mile trail through the woods, along a small stream with pages from a story along the way. You may even see a Sasquatch or 2! This walk is best in the late spring, summer and early fall. Enjoy lunch and explore historic Rathdrum on your way out! Check online for exact address, it can be tricky to find.

Nearby hiking with trails in shady paths by a creek. There are good views of the prairie from the "top."
