If you are looking for something else then cheese to take as a souvenir: right at the heart of the Jordaan-district you'll find the Old Dutch Candy shop were you can find candy the way our grandparents must have offered it back in the days. You will find licorices the Dutch like so much, sticky treats, caramels, salmiak candy, but also some very odd traditional sweets you don't come across easily nowadays.
