The purpose of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall construction was to provide a contemporary cultural and conference center of international standards with the capacity to host various events,including concerts, ballet, theatre and opera, cultural and art expositions and conferences.
The Thessaloniki Concert Hall was inaugurated in 2000 and is the work of the famous architect Arata Isozaki. It is located on the beach of the city and is one of the landmark buildings of Thessaloniki, but also one of the top cultural centers of the city. The Megaron in its halls, with excellent equipment and infrastructure, can host a wide range of events and performances from theater, opera, dance and of course concerts and music events of all kinds. The Megaron also has a Music Library and a Museum of Musical Instruments, while in its facilities and rooms it has the specifications for the excellent organization of art exhibitions and conferences.
