The Avalon marshes are an ancient wetlands at the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors with a rich diversity of wildlife.

The Somerset Levels are renown for their birdlife; starling murmurations, great white egret, marsh harriers and other wildlife. • Avalon Marshes Centre is also nearby as are the Catcott, Ham Wall and Shapwick Moor Nature Reserves. • Good network of tracks, cycle way, the Bittern Trail footpath, the Sweet Track Trail, Discovery Trail (an easy access trail).
