Exit Glacier – 308 elevation, 2.2 miles – easy hike There is a Rangers Station and is a very educational walk. Markers show where the glacier was at points of time. Some of the walk is paved with park benches to rest. Exit Glacier Overlook Trail is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked loop trail that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips.

Just down the road from us, a short trail up to glacier and back to visitors center, or start early in the day and hike the difficult Harding Icefield trail all the way to the glacier field. Spectacular views.

If you've ever wanted to hike up to a glacier, now's your chance. Word of caution, though: the toe of the glacier has retreated far into the valley in recent years, so getting to it (to stand on) is inadvisable.
