Kif jaħdmu l-ħlasijiet lill-Co-Hosts

As a Host, you can set up and share payouts with a Co-Host on Airbnb. You need to choose one way to share payouts with your Co-Host for bookings.

What payouts can Hosts choose to share

  • Cleaning fee: you'll share the amount you set as your cleaning fee in your listing details
  • Cleaning fee plus percentage: you'll share the amount you set as your cleaning fee in your listing details and add a percentage per booking (that excludes the cleaning fee)
  • Percentage payouts: add the percentage you'd like to share per booking and then choose to exclude or include the cleaning fee amount in the percent calculation
  • Fixed amount payouts: add the amount you'd like to share per booking

Payouts may be set up for Co-Hosts with any permissions. Some regional limitations may apply based on the Host’s or Co-Host’s location that limit the ability to use this feature.

How it works

Only the Host who is the listing owner can set up payouts for a Co-Host. Co-Hosts cannot set up payouts for themselves or for other Co-Hosts.

Once a Host has set up a Co-Host payout, the Co-Host has 14 days to confirm or decline. If the Co-Host declines but would still like to receive payouts, the Host can send a new proposal.

Once a Co-Host confirms their payouts, they'll be able to start getting payouts for bookings after guests check in. Any updates a Host makes to existing payouts will only apply to the Co-Host’s payouts for bookings that start after the Co-Host confirms the update.

To get paid, all Hosts and Co-Hosts must set up at least one payout method, and, where required, verify their identity and submit any taxpayer information that's required.

What payouts are included

Hosts can only share payouts with a Co-Host for guest stays on Airbnb. Experience bookings, Host damage protection reimbursements, and Resolution Center payouts, for example, aren’t included.

When you’ll get your payout

Both Host and Co-Host payouts will be sent about 24 hours after the guest checks in, and the Host or Co-Host’s payout method will determine how long it takes for them to receive the money. Learn more about the average processing time for each payout method.

If the reservation is a monthly stay, we’ll send the payout for the first month about 24 hours after the guest checks in, and we’ll send payouts monthly for the remainder of the guest’s stay.

Where to find your payouts

Once a booking is confirmed, you can find the Co-Host payout amount in your Earnings dashboard. Learn more about finding your payout information.

How payouts are calculated

Co-Host payouts are calculated based on the amount of the Host’s potential earnings for each booking.

To calculate the Host’s potential earnings for a booking, multiply the nightly price by the number of nights, and add any additional charges to the guest, like a cleaning fee. Then subtract the Host service fee and, if applicable, other taxes and fees.

Co-Host payouts are then calculated using Host’s potential earnings amount per booking and the payout option set up by the Host: the cleaning fee, the cleaning fee plus a percentage per booking (excluding the cleaning fee), percentage per booking (excluding or including the cleaning fee), or a fixed amount per booking. Learn more about how payouts are calculated.

Important: If the Host’s potential earnings amount is not enough to cover Co-Host payouts, Co-Hosts may receive a payout that is less than they expect. Additionally, depending on the payout options and amounts shared with Co-Hosts, the Host and some Co-Hosts may receive partial or no payouts, particularly when payouts are set up for multiple Co-Hosts.

Taxes and payouts

Co-Host payouts will not impact the amount which will be reported to the listing owner for tax information reporting purposes. Listing owners will receive a tax document on the full booking amount, and Co-Hosts will receive a tax document for the amounts they receive as specified by the listing owner.

Kif toħloq il-kundizzjonijiet jew tibdel tal-ħlasijiet tal-Co-Hosts

Il-kundizzjonijiet tal-ħlas tal-Co-Hosts jistgħu jinħolqu u jinbidlu biss minn sid il-listing.

  1. Ikklikkja fuq Listings u agħżel il-listing li tixtieq tibdel
  2. Ikklikkja fuq L-ispazju tiegħek mill-Editur tal-listings
  3. Ikklikkja fuq Co-Hosts u agħżel il-Co-Host li tixtieq toħloqlu l-kundizzjonijiet tal-ħlas
  4. Ikklikkja fuq Ħlasijiet u agħżel waħda mill-għażliet disponibbli: Tariffa għat-tindif, Tariffa għat-tindif u perċentwali, Perċentwali jew Somma fissa
  5. Ikklikkja fuq Ikkonferma mal-Co-Host

Your Co-Host will need to confirm before they can start receiving payouts. If you want to edit the payout settings before your Co-Host confirms, you’ll need to cancel the proposal and send another.

Keep in mind: Any changes made to existing payouts will only apply to the Co-Host’s payouts for bookings that start after the Co-Host confirms the changes.

If you’re sharing the cleaning fee and want to change the amount, find out how to update the cleaning fee in your listing details. Know that changing your cleaning fee does not require a Co-Host to confirm a new proposal, but they’ll get a notification of the change.

Removing payouts means your Co-Host won’t be paid for bookings that start after you stop sharing, so be sure that’s OK before removing payouts. Your Co-Host will be notified that payouts have stopped. You (or a full-access Co-Host) can also remove payouts by removing a Co-Host from your listing, which the Co-Host will also be notified about.

Payout exceptions

When the Host’s potential earnings amount is greater than the sum of all Co-Host payouts, Co-Hosts will be paid first, and the Host will receive whatever remains. In some cases, either a Co-Host or the Host might not receive a payout, or will receive less than expected.

When Co-Host payouts exceed the Host’s potential earnings amount

If the Host’s potential earnings amount for a booking is less than the sum of all Co-Host payouts set up, the Co-Host(s) may receive a payout that is less than those amounts or no payout. This may also result in the Host receiving no payout.

When a guest cancels

All booking-related payouts owed to the Host are treated the same for the Co-Host, even if the Host ends up only receiving a portion of the payout, due to a cancellation.

For example, if a $150 booking is canceled and the Host’s potential earnings amount for that booking is updated to $50—and if the Co-Host payout is 10% per booking (excluding the cleaning fee), then the Co-Host will get $5 and the Host will get $45.

When a Host or Co-Host cancels after check-in

If a Host or full-access Co-Host cancels a guest’s booking after payouts have been sent by Airbnb, we’ll deduct the refund amount from future payouts until the full amount is collected. This means that Co-Host(s) or the Host might not receive a payout, or will receive less than expected. Hosts and Co-Hosts can find this reflected as an adjustment on their Earnings dashboard.

Regional limitations

There are some limitations to sharing payouts with Co-Hosts, depending on your and your Co-Host’s location, and where your listing is located. The following restrictions apply:

Hosts and Co-Hosts located outside of the US and EU

  • Hosts can only share payouts with one Co-Host per listing

Brazil

  • Hosts can only share payouts with one Co-Host per listing
  • The Host and Co-Host must have the same country of residence to share payouts

Canada

  • Hosts can only share payouts with one Co-Host per listing
  • The Host and Co-Host must have the same country of residence to share payouts

India

  • Hosts can only share payouts with one Co-Host per listing
  • The Host and Co-Host must have the same country of residence to share payouts

Mexico

  • Sharing payouts for listings located in Mexico is not currently supported

Limitations for participants in Resident Hosting

Hosts in the United States. Hosts in the United States who have opted into the Resident Hosting program can share payouts with Co-Hosts in the United States, but limitations apply.

Hosts in the United States who have opted into this program cannot set up payouts which are fixed amounts. In addition, for hosts whose building charges a revenue share that is inclusive of the cleaning fee, the hosts may only set up payouts that relate to a percentage of the booking, including the cleaning fee. For all payouts set up, the building revenue share will be paid first, before any co-host payouts.

Due to these limitations, if a US host in this program has set up Co-Host payouts for a listing prior to opting into the program and such Co-Host payouts are based on a fixed amount, all Co-Host payouts will be removed for all future payouts after the date the host agrees to the Resident Hosting terms. In addition, if the revenue share for a building changes, payouts that were previously set up may also be removed. A host may set up new Co-Host payouts after opting in or the revenue share is changed, to the extent that the type of payout is not restricted.

Hosts in the UK and Canada. For hosts in the UK and Canada who have opted into the Resident Hosting program, sharing payouts with Co-Hosts for associated listings is not currently supported. If a UK or Canadian host has already set up Co-Host payouts before joining the Resident Hosting program, these co-host payouts will be removed for future payouts after the date on which the host agrees to the Resident Hosting terms.
